#Youthbaton for a greener future after a week project Inception workshop in Nairobi, saniation, Solid waste managment, clean energy and afforestation becomes the campaign for us for the two year Project period. Kenya,Mozambique, Bukinafaso and Mali share , plan and report activities on the same dashboard. Funded by Danida through sustainable energy program. Langata Youth Network Is honoured to be one of the implementing organisation for the program.


  
Yesterday in Partnership with Inuka Kenya Trust and Hans Siedel Foundation. Langata Youth Network organized and held a community dialogue cycle in Lindi ward Kibera. Insecurity, governance, leadership and youth participation in public affairs marked our discussion points. Sarang'ombe ward is next month.
    

After intense lobbying for the consideration of projected affected persons whose structures were demolished by hooligans, the Mps office donated blankets and mattresses to victims. Thanks Ken Okoth.
 

Marking the Inception of the Youth to Youth pass the bâton for a greener future. Umande Trust will support four Youth organizations in Kibera for environment campaign.Langata Youths Network, Pamoja Youth Initiative, Kidyot, Tujue Katiba Initiative.

Big up Richard for your wonderful presentation on Waste Management and Resource Center today at training organized by Boost Ventures Initiative . The program is meant to bring students from Universities to volunteer their skills and capacities to community organization,offering start up capital to youth in groups for a business.

 Presenting the grievances of the railway Project affected persons in Kibera to the Kenya Railway Cooperation, The Ministry of Transport and infrastructure ,Pamoja trust and Ngazi ya Chini. Great Intitiative from my fellow colleagues from Langata Youths Network, we appreciate the support from Usaid Kenya and Mentorship from Kenya Tuna Uwezo, CHF/ Global Communities , Peacenet and Kituo Cha Sheria have given to us throughout, Madam Seline Korir have stood with us through hard times giving us both guidance and moral support. The Campaign for Justice and rights to the poor continues.

Today held talks with Director Spur Africa at our offices Mr Patrick Achola. The partnership between Langata Youths Network and Spur Africa Will see many youths from Kibera benefit by acessing business Start up capital and quality training on business, loans and saving and effective leadership.

Great to see us guys back to work at our new office Langata Youths Network assumes the New ofice space and great thanks to Computer Pride for donating us the furniture and computers.
 

 Emmy award-winning reporter and video producer, Henry Tenenbaum, recently visited and video-documented the USAID-funded Kenya Tuna Uwezo (KTU) program, which aims to reduce politically-motivated conflict in the informal settlements of Nairobi.
